Here's a guide on how to make sure you don't become a total whore/tool by avoiding the romance options of Mass Effect 1 in preparation for the new game and its newer, and more then likely better/prefered, romances.

With a new Marvel Ultimate Alliance game coming out I'd thought I'd do something to mark the occassion. Plus this rage has been building for awhile... and it must be released.

As a bonus Mariam Sharpe, the mother of the kid who died in Stamford, is a ridiculous expy to Cindy Sheenan only this one is so uber pro-facism its a complete 180 from the person she's based on. Her guilt tripping emotionally charged bitching leads to Iron Man supporting the Registration Act and excusing all the crap he pulls because its for "the law designed to save lives" and "Makes heroes we can believe in again." Yeah lady, the Patriot Act says the same thing, doesn't make it any less immoral. Oh and did I mention she also arrives at Black Goliath's funeral and essentially says "He deserved what he got." Yeah, I'd like to see HER say that to his family, maybe then someone will punch her face in and knock some common sense into her skull.

Luckily she's not in the game, so thats already one big improvement on the storyline. Now if they cut out Mr. Fantastic saying "We should obey laws even if they're bad" by using the example of HUAC screwing over his Uncle I'll be willing to boost the grade up to a C-.

Alright, this is pretty much a place holder. One, you may notice the poorer quality in this video. I taped it on my web cam because my family hasn't given me back my actual camera yet. Two, I will soon be uploading most of my reviews to Blip.tv in preparation for my attempt to try and get noticed by some folks. So far I haven't been doing very well. Hopefully this move will make it better. Therefore I will be editing my posts to included the embedded versions of the reviews on Blip. Its a lot faster then waiting Blogspot to upload my videos anyway, so whatever. Now I don't exactly want to get paid for this work just yet so you won't have to worry about Ads, but some of you may have slow down since blip is a lot like blogspot's flash video only slightly different. The 1970's are an era many don't remember well. Why? Well unlike most eras where you can pick out something thats relatively cool (40's we kicked Hitler's ass, 50's Elvis, 60's Moon Landing, 80's... um... well that Wall in Berlin fell) The best thing we can think of to signify the 70's is Disco. Yeah... next to the 80's and its terrible fashion sense its not something we always remember fondly.

However the worst thing about the 70's, censorship. Cartoons were so insepidly stupid and insulting one had to wonder how did the generation that grew up in that period survive? Everything had to have some stupid educational message or if it was action oriented no fighting was allowed. Thats okay for some cartoons... but when you bring it over to a super hero show... oh boy are there some big holes. And don't get me started on the incredibly cheap animation. Mind you, this was the era of the Disney dark ages but you'd think with how much they were sucking they'd get influx of talent from other people. Not so much.

Its truly depressing to see good characters get treated so poorly. Say what you will about the original Spider-Man cartoon, at least he was allowed to sock bad guys in the jaw. However today's subject... not so much.

I have to ask, why didn't Toho Studios sue Hanna-Barbera over this? You'd think with the way the economy was sucking back in Japan they'd take the chance and take their asses to court. They have permission as this entire episode is essentially a rip-off of Rodan. Rodan even jumped into a Volcano in the movie... but at least he didn't friggin set it off with his wings!

In the future Mars is colony of earth. After being liberated by the Red Faction from the evil Ultor Corporation with the help of the Earth Defense Force everything seemed okay. But Earth's economy soon went down the tubes years later and the EDF decided "Hey, why don't we get Mars to help foot the build?" But after years of exploitation by Earth the Martain Colonists have grown fed up and decided to revolt the only way a rowdy miner knows how... blowing stuff up with timed demo charges!

Come with Lizard-Man into a world of Two-dimensional hero characters who are completely justified in everything they do despite the fact they cross several moral lines. Its a hostile planet full of ore desposits, annoying arbitrary transporter missions and tons cardboard cutout villains who contain the same level of depth to their characters as the guy who bashes a bunch of newborn kittens in a sack to death for fun! Snidely Whiplash moustaches sold seperately.

Get your ass to Mars!

If you're wondering, no. I'm sorry, but there are no three boobed women in this game. I checked. And Sam isn't hiding an extra one anywhere. Trust me.
