Dragon Me to Hell - Behind the Scenes - Chapters 38-41

Hello again! Sorry that it's been a while.

This will probably prove to be an interesting behind the scenes blog post. Mainly because it is going to involve RJ in a team up with his best friend, his biggest crush, and one of his worst enemies. It features a new enemy, a new location, a big exploration of V-Tower and what I feel is probably my most dramatic ending to any of these chapters so far.

So, we might as well get to it. We've already procrastinated too long on getting these up anyway!

Behind the Scenes: Remnants Chapter 41 Parts I & II

 This was a long time coming, a chapter I've been wanting to write for a very long time with a lot of moving pieces. And in a way, it's still not done. Not because I had to split it further. No, because the implications here are just a set up for what is going to happen next. And to be clear, it's about to get SO much worse. But let's stay with the immediate issues for now and the set up.

Notes for Remnants Chapter 40 Parts 1 & 2

 The completion of this arc essentially means we're officially in the final act of the story, we've hit a major milestone narrative wise. The quest is seemingly completed, but various bad stuff has happened to force us to a low point. Trust me, it won't be the last time for that. For now though, let's just talk about what happened here.

 We're really starting to get back on track aren't we? Maybe we'll actually get another chapter out before the end of this month? You never know. Anyway, for now let's just focus on this chapter. Which I hope was sufficiently action packed even if it feels like a breather.

 Hey! No Split this time! Ain't that something! And better yet, I managed to keep the page count reasonable as well! And the next chapter should be more or less the same, it's also almost done. Notes for Remnants Chapter 37 parts 1-2

 I hadn't expected to run into the problem of FF.Net's Alert system essentially dying on me to hamper the release of these chapters. I'm honestly not sure if enough people realize these are up now or ever will because FF.Net has decided it doesn't want to fix the alerts quick enough. I'm rather annoyed, frankly, because I put a lot of work into these. I can only hope things turn out okay and that everyone piles in eventually to see the thing. I think I've been relying on the alerts to make up for my mess of a schedule. Anyway, I'm not gonna let that get me down. It's almost Halloween and folks deserve a treat for waiting so long.

So you've likely been waiting a long time for these and I'm going to start answering your questions. First things first, you all deserve a proper explanation as to why these took so long. Besides the obvious fact that this chapter ballooned there's more to it. So, here it is, my attempt at explaining what went wrong.

 It's been a while again, and that's all on me for one reason or another. I'm not really blaming anyone but myself here as I could've gotten so much more work done by now but didn't. Okay, obviously you are all asking some questions by now if you've read the chapter and its ending. Sad to say, I will not be dicuss that here. There's a ton to go over and it's probably better to do it in the next chapter notes entry I write. For now, we'll focus on the battle that was the central focus of this chapter.
